Skillet Spaghetti Ingredients

1 pound Ground beef 1 6-oz can Tomato paste
2 teaspoon Chili powder 1 18-oz can Tomato juice
1 1/2 teaspoon Oregano dried, crushed2 tablespoon Instant minced onion
1 teaspoon Sugar 1 7-oz package Spaghetti , uncooked
1 teaspoon Salt Parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon Garlic salt

Instructions for Skillet Spaghetti

In 12-inch skillet, brown ground beef; drain off excess fat. Stir in chili powder, oregano, sugar, salt. Blend in tomato paste. Stir in tomato juice, onion, and 3 1/2 cups water. Bring to boiling. Carefully add spaghetti; stir to separate strands. Cover and simmer, stirring frequently, for 30 minutes. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese. Makes 4-6 servings.

This spaghetti is a little more sharp-tasting than canned spaghetti or bottled spaghetti sauce. I like to add some hot pepper sauce to it.

First made 6/15/80 and many times since.
