Bruce's Boston Baked Beans Ingredients

1 pound Navy beans rinsed and drained1/2 teaspoon Coarse ground black pepper
1/2 pound Salt pork 1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Molassaes 1 medium Onion coarsely chopped
1/2 teaspoon Dry mustard 2 tablespoons Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Ground cloves 2 tablespoons Vinegar

Instructions for Bruce's Boston Baked Beans

Prepare the beans by adding the rinsed beans to a large saucepan, covering with water and boiling for 10 minutes. Cover and let stand 1 hour. Rinse and drain beans.
Put beans and all other ingredients in a 3 1/2 Qt slow cooker. Add water to cover plus 1 inch. Set cooker to high setting and check beans for water level in 3 hours, adding small amounts of hot water as neccessary. Continue on high until beans are tender, about 2-4 hours longer.
