Winter Dried Fruit Compote Ingredients

1 package dried mixed fruit	1 c. orange juice
1 c. golden raisins	2 cinnamon sticks
1 (or substitute any combination of dried fruits t	2 T brandy (optional)
1 T orange zest

Instructions for Winter Dried Fruit Compote

Cut dried fruit into bite-sized pieces.Combine all ingredients (except brandy) in medium saucepan. Cook gently over medium heat until fruit is soft and tender and liquid is mostly absorbed. Add more orange juice, if necessary. Add brandy, if using, during the last 5 minutes of cooking. Remove cinnamon sticks. Serve with crème fraiche, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.
