Kugelis Ingredients

2 pound bacon pepper
8 eggs 1 can (16 oz) Evaporated milk
1 large onion Crisco shortening
salt 10 pound Potato Idaho

Instructions for Kugelis

Peel and grate all the potatoes (watch those knuckles). Drain the liquid from the grated potratoes. Cut up bacin into short strips. Dice up onion. Place the bacon and onion into a frying pan and fry up. Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees. Drain most of the grease from the bacon-onion mixture. Pour this into the grated potatos and mix well. Add the eggs, evaporated milk, salt and pepper and mix. Coat the bottom and sides of a baking pan(s) with Crisco. Pour the mixture into the pan(s). Put the pan in the 450 degree oven. Bake for 30 minutes (the top should be yellow/brown). Remove after 30 minutes, cover with aluminum foil and return to a 350 degree oven. Bake for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven and let sit for 20 minutes before serving. Serve with sour cream or apple sauce.
