Ingredients
- 3 pound Spanish Mackeral fillets nuggets
- 3 cups Seafood Breader as required
- 2 tablespoons Lemon pepper as required
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper as required
- 16 ounces Canola Oil as required
Preparation
Cut skin off the back side of mackeral fillets. With fillet knife, cut out the dark strip from the center, which can have a strong taste if left in. Cut small nuggets out of the fillets bite sized. Mix the seafood breader, lemon pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl or ziplock bag. Wet the nuggets and put them in the container or bag with the breader seasoning. Shake to coat well. Heat the oil to 450? and drop the nuggets in the hot oil a handful at a time. Cook nuggets 4 to 6 minutes or until golden brown.
