Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 9x13" pan.
Melt shortening in a large saucepan over low heat, then stir in cocoa.
Remove from heat.
Mix in sugar and vanilla then mix in eggs one at a time.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Fill mini muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake 20-22 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
For Glaze:
2/3 cups heavy cream
6oz semi-sweet chocolate
Heat whipping cream in small saucepan over low heat just until hot but not boiling; remove from heat. Stir in chocolate until melted. Let stand about 15 minutes. Drizzle mixture over brownie cups.
