Slow Cooker Neapolitan Sauce with Spaghetti Ingredients
1 tablespoon
olive oil
1 can diced
tomatoes
1 lb boneless
pork
shoulder roast trimmed and cut into chunks
2 tablespoon
tomato paste
2 links each: fresh sweet and hot Italian
sausage
cut into pieces
1 cup beef
broth
1
onion
chopped
1 tablespoon
sugar
4
garlic
cloves chopped
1 salt and
pepper
to taste
Instructions for Slow Cooker Neapolitan Sauce with Spaghetti
In a large pot or Dutch oven on medium high heat, heat oil til very hot. Cook pork chunks and sausage in batches til nice and browned all over. Remove and set aside.
Reduce heat to medium and add onions and garlic and cook til onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
Add pork, sausage and onion mixture to slow cooker. Mix in remaining ingredients and cook on low for 4 hours or high 6 hours.
