1. Mix pudding mix as per instructions on box and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
2. Pinch 1/2 of the cake into small pieces. Take 1/2 of all other ingredients, starting with the cake, layer each ingredient in a large bowl ending with the cool whip.
3. Pinch the second half of the cake into small pieces and repeat the layering process with the other 1/2 of ingredients. Keep a few pecans and strawberries to place on top of the ending layer of cool whip.
