sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and alt into a large bowl; whisk to blend. Set aside.
In bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with electric mixer. Beat until creamy and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until smooth. add flour mixture. stir in oats and blueberries.
drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets, or baking sheets lined with parchment patper, leaving room for cookies to expand. bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown and crisp around the edges. cook 2 minutes, then remove to wire rack.
