Mostaccioli Sauce

You can use this sauce with meatballs or Italian Sausage. I usually double or triple this for my family.

Instructions

Bring ingredients to a boil then simmer 45 min to an hour. Add meatballs or sausage (my family likes hot) and simmer until thick.

Spoon a little sauce into cooked mostaccioli noodles. Spoon more sauce over noodles and sausage when serving.

This is a family favorite. My husband asks for it every year on his birthday, which happens to be tomorrow! My Yommy usually makes it for him, this year we are splitting up the task. She will make the sauce and I will make the pasta and sausage.

This recipe has been in our family for about 35 years. My son always requests it for his birthday dinner.

When posted it shows 1 pepper. This is in error - it is actually "ground pepper to taste".
