Pancakes

You don't need Bisquick to make pancakes. And, if you're like me, the whole wheat flour tastes much better than white flour. Just be sure to add lots of fruit and use real maple syrup (affordable if purchased from the bulk isle).

Ingredients

Preparation

Combine all dry ingredients in mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, mix wet ingredients (milk & egg) and then add to dry ingredients and just barley combine (I use a big spoon and kind-of fold in the flour with the wet - about 8 to 10 passes).

Let batter sit for 5 minutes to let the bubbles form.

Thaw any frozen fruit in the microwave.

Get your skillet or griddle hot & add a thin coating of oil. Once the batter has been poured onto the skillet, add fruit by hand so you can evenly distribute across the surface (and, really pack them in!).

Turn them when golden brown.

Serve with maple syrup.
