Baked Ziti

Baked ziti is comprised of three components; sauce, filling and cooked pasta. These are assembled after being prepared, then baked before serving. The final result is reminiscent of lasagna, but much easier and faster to prepare. It's sure to become your family's favorite!

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350?. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the ziti. Cook al dent? (do not over cook). About 10 minutes, drain the pasta. In a large skillet, brown beef over medium heat. Drain off fat and add spaghetti sauce. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Place the ziti In a large bowl. Mix with the Ricotta, eggs and half of the shredded mozzarella. In a lightly sprayed 10x15-inch casserole dish. Place half the pasta in. Add the spaghetti sauce and spread Mozzarella cheese and Ricotta cheese repeat layers till Mozzarella cheese is on top. Bake uncovered, 30 to 40 minutes, until the casserole bubbles on the edges.
