Ingredients
Preparation
First prep the meat by seasoning with a little garlic salt and pepper to taste and form into 1 inch thick 1/2 pound patty''s, Cover and set aside.
PRE-HEAT OVEN TO 350 degrees.
Add 1 table spoon butter and 1 table spoon olive oil into a 12 inch cast iron skillet. Saute garlic, onions, and mushrooms until caramelized. place in bowl, cover with aluminum foil and set aside.
In same skillet cook bacon until slightly crisp and set aside covered with a few paper towels. Keep a little of the bacon grease to cook the burgers with.
While skillet and grease are HOT add Hamburgers and cook until they are just slightly under your desired preference (Rare 140F, medium 160F, well 170F according to the USDA) remove from heat. Now in same skillet top patty''s with a layer of 2 bacon strips, shredded cheddar cheese, Layer of sauteed mushrooms, onions, and garlic, and top off with another layer of cheese. Place skillet into pre heated oven until cheese is melted.
I Prefer to serve these burgers on toasted buns. Just spread some warm butter on to the cut side of the buns and sprinkle with garlic salt. Toast in a non-stick pan until golden brown and crispy.
I hope you enjoy, I Know me and my family do :)
