Ingredients
- 1 Carrot - 2
- 1 Urad dal/split gram dal - 1 spoon
- 1 Chana dal/bengal gram dal - 1 spoon
- 1 Jeera/cumin - 1/2 spoon
- 1 Tamarind paste - 1/2 spoon
- 1 Coriander - 1 bunch
- 1 Salt - 1/2 spoon(adjust)
- 1 Red chillies - 2
- 1 Oil 3/4 spoon
- 1 Water - 3-4 spoons
Preparation
1. Heat oil in a wide pan. Add dals, red chillies and jeera. Once dals turn golden brown, add carrot.
2. Fry the contents for 3-4 minutes. Add tamarind to this and fry for few seconds.
3. After the above mixture cools, blend/grind them along with salt and chopped coriander.
4. Add seasoning if desired. We had it without seasoning, it still tasted good.
