Alpler Magrone (pasta Gratin)

This is a specialty from the central part of Switzerland. You can add more cream or more cheese to make it to your liking. This recipe is adjustable

Ingredients


Preparation

Cook the penne al dente, drain, set aside

Meanwhile, cut the onions in fine slices and fry in the butter until golden.

Heat the cream with 1/3 of the cheese until melted, stirring constantly.

Combine the pasta with another 1/3 of the cheese

Season with salt and pepper and fill a pan or an oven-proof form.

Pour the cheese-sauce over the pasta, cover with the rest of the cheese and

the onions.

Cook or bake covered until the cheese has melted.

Serves 4.
