Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat. In a seperate bowl crush bannanas. Add nuts and add to the creamed mixture. Sift and measure flour and add soda and salt. Add to other ingredients. Turn into greased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
