Cream shortnening and sugar.
Add sour cream and mix well.
Add eggs one at a time.
Mix in the blackberry jam.
Combine the dry ingredients and sift together.
Add the dry ingredients in thirds
Stir in raisins, then stir in nuts
Pour the batter into greased and floured 8" cake pans
Bake at 375 for 45-50 minutes
Cool
Frost with Caramel Frosting
