Apple Crumb Squares Ingredients

2 c Oats; Uncooked	1/2 ts Salt; (optional)
1 1/2 c All-Purpose Flour	1/2 ts Baking Soda
3/4 c Margarine;, Melted	1/4 ts Ground Nutmeg
1 c Brown Sugar; Frimly Packed	1 c Applesauce
1 ts Cinnamon	1/2 c Chopped Nuts

Instructions for Apple Crumb Squares

Heat oven to 375* F. Grease 13x9-inch baking pan. Combine all ingredients EXCEPT applesauce and nuts; mix until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup mixture. Press remaining mixture onto bottom of prepared pan. Bake 15 minutes; cool. Spread applesauce over partially baked crust; sprinkle with nuts. Top with resevered 1 cup oat mixture. Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack; cut into 2-inch squares. NOTES : These are really wonderful and easy. I used homemade, unsweetened applesauce.
