Thick Johnnycakes Ingredients

2 c Cornmeal 1/4 c Milk
1 ts Salt Vegetable oil <>
2 c Boiling water

Instructions for Thick Johnnycakes

Mix cornmeal, salt and boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in milk. Fry 2 1/2- inch cakes on a medium hot well oiled skillet until browned on both sides.
