Baked Pork Chops and Rice Ingredients

8 Pork chops; center cut 1 cn Beef consomme
Salt and pepper; to taste 1 1/2 cn Water; soup cans
2 tb Salad oil 1 Green pepper; sliced
1 1/2 c Long-grain rice 1 Onion; sliced
1 cn Mushrooms 1 Tomato; sliced

Instructions for Baked Pork Chops and Rice

Season meat, saute in oil until well browned. Combine rice, mushrooms, consumme and water; place in a lightly greased casserole dish. Arrange chops on top. Place a slice of pepper, onion and tomato on top of each chop. Cover tightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Posted to MC-Recipe Digest by Barb at PK on Apr 17, 1998
