Instructions for Basic Sweet Dough #2
From: Edward Tucker
Date: Sun, 30 Jun 1996 07:43:08 -0700 In a small saucepan heat milk till bubbles start to form around edge of the pan, add sugar and butter, stirring till butter and is melted, and sugar is dissolved. Dissolve yeast in warm water in a large bowl. Cool milk mixture till warm, then add it to the dissolved yeast mix. Add beaten egg and 1 1/2 cups of the flour, beat with spoon till smooth. Add the rest of the flour, then turn out on a floured surface, and knead till dough is satiny and elastic. Place in a greased bowl and let rise in a warm place till doubled in bulk. Use for cinnamon swirls, sweet rolls etc. EAT-L Digest 29 June 1996 From the EAT-L recipe list. Downloaded from Glens MM Recipe Archive, http://www.erols.com/hosey.
