Red Beans and Rice #03 Ingredients
1 lb Dried red
beans
1/4 ts
Sugar
1 Meaty
ham
bone
1 ds Hot sauce
2 lg
Onion
s; chopped
1/4 ts
Oregano
leaves
1 c
Parsley
; chopped
1/4 ts
Thyme
leaves
3 Cloves (large)
garlic

1 tb
Worcestershire sauce
1 tb
Salt
4 oz
Tomato
sauce
1 ds
Red pepper
1 1/2 lb Ground Italian
sausage

1 ts Black
pepper
Instructions for Red Beans and Rice #03
Soak beans overnight in water to cover. Pour beans & water into a pot & add ham bone. Add water to cover. Cook slowly 3 hours. Add all other ingredients to beans except sausage. Cook uncovered 1 hour. Cool overnight, if possible. When ready to serve, warm with sausage & serve over rice. Serves 8. MADGE SABA From
