Rice-Bottom Pizza Ingredients
CRUST
1
Onion
; diced
1 c Cooked
rice
; (about 1/3 cup)
1/2 Green
pepper
; chopped
1 c Grated
Parmesan
cheese
Salt and
pepper
; to taste
1
Egg
; beaten
1 c
Tomato
paste
1 tb Butter or
margarine
3 tb Water
TOPPING
Oregano
; to taste
1/2 lb Sausage or
ground beef
or
Mozzarella
cheese
Instructions for Rice-Bottom Pizza
Prepare the crust: Preheat the oven to 350F. Mix all ingredients together and place in a round baking dish or pizza pan; press the dough with a fork until 1/4" thick. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool. Prepare the topping: Mix tomato paste and water; set aside. Cook the meat with onion over medium heat, until meat is brown. Remove from heat; add peppers and S&P. When crust is cool, evely spread the tomato paste mixture and sprinkle with oregano. Spread with the meat filling; top with Mozzarella.
