Bombay Rice Pilaf Ingredients

2 1/2 c Water 1 sm Bay leaf
2 pk Instant chicken-flavored 1/4 c Plus
1 tb Lemon juice; fresh, not 2 tb Golden raisins (Sultanas)
1 tb Margarine 6 oz Uncooked brown rice

Instructions for Bombay Rice Pilaf

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT RICE in a 3 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil over med-high heat. Stir in rice; reduce heat to low, cover & simmer until all liquid is absorbed, 50-60 minutes. (Check after 45-50 minutes; add boiling water if rice seems too dry). Remove & discard bay leaf before serving. NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION per serving: 152 Calories; 30g Carbohydrate; 398mg Sodium 3g Fat; 3g Protein; 0mg Cholesterol.
