Philippine Lumpias Ingredients

1 lb Ground beef or pork 1 lb Potatoes, chopped to about
1 lb Shredded cabbage 1 Package frozen French cut
1/2 lb Shredded carrots 1/2 c Soy sauce
1/2 lb Shredded celery Salt and ground pepper to
2 Cloves garlic crushed 1 Package of spring roll
1 Whole onion, chopped Vegetable oil

Instructions for Philippine Lumpias

Saute garlic, onions, and meat in as little vegetable oil as possible, until onions become transparent. Add soy sauce and simmer for about 15 minutes. Add all the vegetables and simmer for another 10 minutes. Drain and cool for about one hour. When mixture cools, wrap ingredients in spring roll wrappers. Fry the resulting lumpias in hot vegetable oil, until brown. Serve with sweet and sour sauce. Posted by Stephen Ceideberg; Reposted By Shelley Rodgers June 18 1991.
