Savory Oven Pot Roast Ingredients

3 lb Rolled rump roast 2 c Hot beef broth
Salt, pepper, pinch of 2 tb Tomato paste
4 tb Flour 1 tb Sugar
1 tb Oil 1 tb Vinegar
1 Clove garlic; crushed 1 ts Thyme
4 lg Onions; sliced 1 Bay leaf; broke

Instructions for Savory Oven Pot Roast

Combine flour, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Dust beef with seasoned flour. Heat oil in heavy pan; brown meat, then remove. Brown onions and garlic lightly in pan. Replace meat; add remaining ingredients. Cover and bake at 350F until meat is tender, about 2 1/2 hours. Discard bay leaf. Serve with pan gravy.
