Chat Masala (Indian Spice) Ingredients

1 ts Cumin seed 1 pn Dried mint flakes; heavy
1 ts Black peppercorns 1/4 ts Ground asafetida
1/2 ts Ajowan seed 2 ts Mango powder
1 ts Pomegranate seeds 1/2 ts Cayenne pepper; ground
1 ts Black salt 1/2 ts Ground ginger
1 ts Coarse salt

Instructions for Chat Masala (Indian Spice)

A fresh-tasting, sourish preparation used with fruit and vegetable salads. If you are unable to find the black salt, simply increase the amount of coarse salt. Grind the whole spices and salt to a powder, then mix in the mint, asafetida, mango powder, cayenne and ginger. NOTES : The blend will keep for 3-4 months stored in an airtight container.
