Sister Sadies Honey Cake Ingredients

1 c Sugar 2 ts Baking powder
2 c Honey 1/2 ts Baking soda
4 Eggs 1 ts Allspice
1/2 c Vegetable oil 1 ts Cinnamon
1/2 c Cold strong coffee or flat 1/4 c Sliced almonds
3 c All-purpose flour

Instructions for Sister Sadies Honey Cake

Preheat oven to 325? Grease and line with wax paper two 8 1/2x4 1/2 inch loaf pans. Cream sugar and honey together. Beat in eggs, oil and coffee or Coke. Sift dry ingredients together and beat in. Divide between pans, sprinkle with sliced almonds and bake until top springs back and cake shrinks from sides of pan, about 45 minutes. Tops may crack. Cool on wire racks before turning out.
