Sour Cream Banana Cake Ingredients

10 oz Skinned and boned chicken, 1 1 ds Pepper
1 tb Reduced-sodium soy sauce 1/4 c Shortening
1 1/2 ts Peanut oil 1 1/3 c Sugar
1/4 c Diced red bell pepper 2 Eggs
2 tb Chopped scallion (green 1 ts Vanilla
1/2 Garlic clove, minced 2 c Flour
1/4 ts Minced pared ginger root 1 ts Baking powder
6 sm Chestnuts, boiled and peeled 1 ts Soda
3/4 c Water 3/4 ts Salt
1 tb Dry sherry 1 c Sour cream
1/2 Pkt instant chicken broth & 1 c Mashed bananas
1 ts Cornstarch 1/2 c Chopped pecans
1/2 ts Each granulated sugar and

Instructions for Sour Cream Banana Cake

Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; blend thoroughly. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredi- ents. Add bananas and nuts, mixing until just blended. Spoon batter into greased and floured 13x9x2-inch pan. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting (see recipe elsewhere).
