Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 350 degrees F. Sift together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt into mixing bowl. Add egg, butter, sour milk, hot water and vanilla. Beat (preferably with an electric mixer) at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 minutes or until it tests done (a toothpick or fork comes out clean). Cool in pan. NOTES: * Aunt Georgies chocolate cake -- Dont cry over sour milk; make a chocolate cake out of it. This cake is from the "Farm Journals Choice Chocolate Recipes" cookbook, and was originally posted to net.cooks by kathyd@azure.
