Chicken Breasts Baked in Cream Ingredients

2 Whole chicken breasts 3/4 c Cream
3 tb Shortening 1 1/2 ts Salt
1/3 c Chopped onion 1/8 ts Pepper
1 Clove (small) garlic; minced 2 ts Worcestershire sauce
3/4 c Chicken broth

Instructions for Chicken Breasts Baked in Cream

Preheat oven to 300. Cut chicken breasts in half crosswise, making 4 serving pieces. In heavy skillet, brown chicken in shortening until golden. Add remaining ingredients. Cover tightly. Bake about 2 hours or until tender. Just before serving, remove chicken from skillet while making pan gravy. Serve with rice. Serves 4. MRS WALTER E.
