Creamed Chipped Beef Ingredients
2 4 oz jars chipped
beef
1/4 ts
Cayenne
4 tb
Butter
1/8 ts
Garlic
powder; optional
1/4 c
Flour
Freshly ground black
pepper
1 1/2 c Evaporated
Milk
Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c Water
Instructions for Creamed Chipped Beef
Put chipped beef in a colander and pour boiling water over it; pull beef apart and tear into thumb size pieces; set aside; melt butter in a large skillet, whisk in the flour until smooth; add the milk and water, stirring rapidly with the whisk until the mixture is thickened and smooth; cook, stirring, for 5 to 6 minutes; add the seasonings; add the chipped beef and stir to mix thoroughly; heat through and serve on toast points. 6 servings Recipe by: Adapted by Martha (from Chip, 1993) Posted to TNT Recipes Digest, Vol 01, Nr 965 by "Martha Sheppard"
