Creamy Baked Chicken Breasts Ingredients

4 Whole Chicken Breasts 1 c Herb seasoned stuffing mix
4 Swiss Cheese slices, 4"x4" 1/4 c Melted Butter
1 cn Cream of Chicken Soup, 10 oz Garlic powder (opt.)
1/4 c Dry White Wine 2 tb Parmesan cheese (opt.)

Instructions for Creamy Baked Chicken Breasts

Arrange split, skinned and boned chicken breasts in a lightly greased 13x9 inch baking dish. Top with cheese slices. Combine soup and wine; stir well. Spoon sauce evenly over chicken and sprinkle with crushed stuffing mix. Drizzle butter over stuffing. If desired, sprinkle with garlic powder and Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 for 45 to 55 minutes. I'm not sure where she acquired this recipe originally, but my mother-in-law has made this recipe for years. She has altered it a little a bit from the original. She substitutes water for the White Wine. Also we use dried bread crumbs instead of the stuffing (reduces salt) and adds 1/8 teaspoon sage and 1/2 teaspons of instant minced onions. This is a very easy recipe that you can throw together, put it in the oven and forget about it until the buzzer goes off! And very delicious!

Would add 1 cup of chicken stock to white wine and soup mix. Served with scalloped Potatoes, 81348.

My husband thought the stuffing made the recipe a little salty, but I thought it was great. Would be good with cold apple sauce on the side, and maybe Acorn squash or sweet potatos. I would make this recipe again!
