Crock Pot Beef Burgundy Ingredients

2 sl Bacon; chopped 1/4 ts Pepper
2 lb Sirloin tip or round steak; 1 Clove garlic; minced
1/4 c Flour 1 Beef bouillon cube; crushed
1 ts Salt 1 c Burgundy wine
1/2 ts Seasoned salt 1/4 lb Fresh mushrooms; sliced
1/4 ts Marjoram 2 tb Cornstarch; (optional)
1/4 ts Thyme

Instructions for Crock Pot Beef Burgundy

In skillet, cook bacon several minutes. Remove and set aside. Coat beef with flour and brown on all sides in bacon mixture. Combine steak, bacon drippings, cooked bacon, seasonings, bouillon and Burgundy in pot. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. Turn on high. Add mushrooms; cook on high 15 minutes. To thicken sauce, add cornstarch (dissolved in 2 tablespoons cold water) with mushrooms. 6 servings. Posted to recipelu-digest Volume 01 Number 392 by James and Susan Kirkland on Dec 21, 1997

An easy and versatile crockpot recipe that tasted great. I doubled the amount of mushrooms, added some pearl onions and served it over egg noodles. It made for a terrific meal served alongside a simple tossed salad with vinaigrette and a crusty bread.

It was too salty. I think I would cut back on the salt.

This rated a Big 5 Stars! Wonderful flavor. I served it with mashed potatoes. Make extra for your meat and potato guys. My husband ate 3 servings.
