Pound Cake Brownies Ingredients

3/4 c Butter Or Margarine;Softened 1 1/4 c Flour; Unbleached
1 c Sugar 1/2 ts Baking Powder
3 Eggs; Large 1/2 c Nuts; Chopped
2 oz Unsweetened Chocolate; * 1/4 ts Salt
1 ts Vanilla

Instructions for Pound Cake Brownies

* Chocolate should be melted and cooled. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs. Blend in chocolate and vanilla. Stir flour with baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool. If desired, sift opwdered sugar over top. Cut into bars. Makes 24 brownies. From Better Homes & Gardens Homemade Cookies Cookbook, via The Home BBS.
