1/4 c Packed
brown sugar
1 ts Black
walnut
flavoring
1/2 c Chopped black
walnut

Instructions for Fruit Cocktail Cake
Source: "Steamboat Adventures - Recipes and Stories of Early-Day Settlers" In a mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda and granulated sugar. Add flavoring, eggs and fruit cocktail beating at medium speed 1-1/2 minutes. Pour into well greased 9"x13" baking dish. In a small bowl combine brown sugar and walnuts. Sprinkle over top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve warm garnished with whipped topping, ice cream or frozen yogurt if desired. Posted to TNT Recipes Digest, Vol 01, Nr 974 by "Michael G. Sooter"
