German Style Pilsner Ingredients

6 2/3 lb Ireks light/amber syrup 1 oz Saaz hops -- finishing
3 oz Hallertauer hops -- boil 1 pk Vierka lager yeast
30 45 45 min 4 oz Priming sugar

Instructions for German Style Pilsner

Boild one gal of water, add syrup, stir until dissolved. Return to heat. Add 3 oz hallertauer hops and boild for 30-45 min. In last 5-10 minutes of boil, add the saaz hops. Add to 4 gal of cold water. When cooled to below 80 degrees, pitch yeast. Fermentation at 45-55 degrees should go as follows: 10-14 days in primary fermenter, 2-3 weeks in secondary and 6 weeks in the bottle.
