Granola Bars5 Ingredients

4 c Quick cooking oats 1 c Unsweetened dehydrated
1 c Coarsely chopped nuts 1 ts Cinnamon
1 c Raisins or chopped dates 1/2 c Margarine
2 Egg whites; beaten until 1/2 c Honey

Instructions for Granola Bars5

Toss together oats, nuts, raisins or dates and bananas. Sprinkle with cinnamon; toss again. Melt margarine and honey together; toss with dry ingredients. Fold egg whites into mixture and press into a well greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven; press mixture down with a spatula. Cool slightly, then cut into bars. May be wrapped individually in plastic wrap and stored in airtight container or may be frozen. These bars were recommended for those on salt-free diet.
