Helens Cabbage Slaw Ingredients

1/2 lb Bacon, diced 1/2 c Vinegar
3/4 c Cabbage, chopped 1 Clove garlic, minced
1/2 c Onion, chopped 1 ts Caraway seed
1/2 c Celery, chopped 1 ts Salt
1/2 c Carrots, chopped 2 ts Worcestershire sauce
3/4 c Potato, chopped 1/4 ts Thyme
3/4 c Zucchini, sliced 1 c Sour cream or plain yogurt
4 c Tomatoes, peeled 1 Head cabbage; shredded
4 c Beef broth 2 tb (heaping) granulated sugar
1/4 c Barley 2 tb (heaping) vinegar
1/4 c Rice 1/4 c Mayonnaise
2 c White sauce

Instructions for Helens Cabbage Slaw

Mix sugar and vinegar until sugar is dissolved; add mayonnaise to mixture. Toss cabbage with dressing. Sprinkle poppy seeds or celery seeds to taste if desired. Serves 6.
