Try putting a little apple juice in a spray bottle and spray the ribs about every 15 minutes in the last hour of cooking time. We did this with the last batch of ribs and loved it. It kept them moist and gave them a spicy, sweet flavor.
Delicious.. The standard recipe for, "country style," baked winter squash
These are absolutely the best oatmeal raisin cookies I have ever had. I get rave reviews from both children and adults every time I bake them ... as well as many repeat requests.
This unusual salmon marinade makes for an exceptionally moist and delicious final product. Two guests remarked tonight that it's the best salmon they've ever had. You might not normally be tempted to try these ingredients together, but if you're looking for a change from ordinary grilled salmon... which is certainly delicious on its own... give this one a try and you may be pleasantly surprised.
This is the peanut butter cookie my Mom and Grandma used to make. It's still one of my favorite cookies. When these sweet, salty morsels of happiness come out of the oven, they are just as good today as they were when I was a kid. The recipe originally appeared on the Skippy peanut butter label in the early 1950's. It produces cookies that are golden brown with wonderful flavor and a light crispiness that melts in your mouth. Basically, it's everything you would expect a good peanut butter cookie to be.
Luscious Butterscoth Pudding...a dessert that adults and children alike will love. Serve with your favorite cookie, and you'll have a hit on your hands. Add a strawberry or raspberry or two on the top for color, or my favorite, some caramelized bananas along with a few dollops of billowy whipping cream, and you have a stunning looking dessert.
Splenda brown sugar used in apple crisp
The German apple pancake is actually a cross between a pancake and a popover. This recipe produces a pancake that has crisp light edges, a custard-like center, and buttery sauteed apples baked into the batter.
This classic cookie has been a family favorite and a Christmas staple in our house for years! Oatmeal Scotchies are simply oatmeal cookies with butterscotch morsels in them. The rich taste of butterscotch added to the sweet, oatmeal batter makes for a unique and delicious treat. These scotchies have great texture. They're chewy crisp...chewy on the inside, crispy on the outside. When preparing this recipe, it may seem like too many oats at first -- but don't worry, the cookies come out perfect and all those oats give the cookies a great flavor and texture.
Plank cooking is a technique that originated with the native Peoples of the Pacific Northwest. This cedar-planked salmon recipe is simple to make, uses only a few ingredients, but packs restaurant quality flavor into every single bite. The aromatic cedar planks imparted a subtle smoky flavor to the salmon and keeps it moist by protecting it from the flames. This technique works equally well with other types of fish, such as Halibut, as well as meat, poultry, and vegetables. Beside the wood flavor imparted by the plank, flavored butters add a tasty punch to the salmon. These flavored butters, also known as compound butters, are easy to make by blending herbs and spices into softened butter.
