We joined a CSA in the spring of 2007. We enjoyed the picking, choosing, and preserving the fresh foods in our upright freezer. Along came the ICE STORM of 12/12/07. We were without electricity for approximately 9 or 10 days. All of our freezer food had to to be thrown away. It was a loss to us in many ways. We did not join the following spring.
