Subject: I Confess

< previous topic  next topic >

Okay, I take retirement seriously, and while I want to eat well, I don't want to spend my life in the kitchen (although my new kitchen is so gorgeous, I probably could).  So, I look for recipes that are quick to fix, don't require tons of prep time, yet are simply WOW!!  The Chesapeake Bay Pasta Chicken and Shrimp is the perfect example of this philosophy.  I wish I could lay claim to having posted it, but I can't.  I will say though, that it's one of my absolute favorites here, and I get requests for it constantly from friends.

So, get the water for the pasta on to boil, and by the time that pasta's done, you'll have a fantastic dinner.

My reason for laziness is that I'm often working on BigOven so long that I need something quick for dinner!  (Remember that old adage that the cobbler's children have no shoes? )

Great idea for a group Anne -- I've added some of our family favorite quick-to-make meals.

We have 5 kids 4 of them have disabilities we are on the go so much that quick meals are often the order of the day. Thats partly why I'm interested in , freezer meals and meal planning.
