Hello fellow foodies, I am really getting to know my camera and what it is capable of doing, I have a Kodak All-in-one 8.2 mega pixels. I utilize my picture software as well, I have 3 different ones, I use Microsoft picture, Adobe, and Digital imaging.  Just dropping by to say Hi and look forward to learning much from the expert picture takers

I have a Canon 40D, which I like very much, but would like to get better at styling and lighting the shots.  I'm in awe of several photographers on the site, including folks like sgrishka, promfh, ellie36 and cajuntoast.  Many more -- too many to mention them all!

I agree about the members you mentioned,  when I first joined, I just took pictures, not even trying to do anything special, but as I started looking at the winning photos, I knew I could do better. The members you mentioned have awesome photos, looks like photo's out of cooking magazines, they inspired me to do better (including your photo's). I  got my sister CLKAKA to post recipes and to take better photo's as well. I think it would be neat to have runner up photo's, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Then we would get an idea of what pictures capture your attention, and what we can do better.

I agree with guitarmom; I would also like to see runners up for the photo contest. I think the extra recognition would be very encouraging to the food photographers.
