Subject: Peach or Apple Cobbler with dumpling

This is a old recipe. Apple or Peach Colbber with dunplings in the cobbler with a crust on top. If anyone has a idea of how this is made I woulld love to have your imput on it.

I just posted one.. The dumplings are formed when the batter that the fruit is laying on rises and surrounds the fruit.. looks like dumplings.  The more batter that is added.. the fruit will sink in and you'll have more of a full dumpling on top.. or crust.   Unless you're looking for a sugary/cinnamon crust on top of the dumplings.. that's what mine comes out like :)  You can use any fruit.. doesn't have to be peaches.

Ok.. well, I tried to post it and there's an issue with the server I guess.  Here's the recipe just incase: 

Peach Cobbler

Yield: 16 Servings
Main Ingredient: Peaches
Cuisine: American

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
5 cups frozen peaches
Combine for Topping:
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350º

Melt 1/2 cup butter in large baking dish (9x13 glass). Mix thoroughly: 1c sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk.

Pour mixture into melted butter. DO NOT STIR.

Pour fruit on top of mixture. Use enough fruit to cover one layer of dish. DO NOT STIR.

Sprinkle with the mixture of: 1c sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp cloves and 1/4 tsp nutmeg.

Bake at 350º for 45 mins. Serve warm.. on top of vanilla ice cream is great!!
