Subject: Printing on 3 x 5 cards

Several discussions on this but I am still a bit confused. My confusions are:

1) No matter what I try to do with BigOvenI don't seem to be able to stop a printing of a recipe that takes two sides of a 3 x 5 card in the middle. Some have said put a page break, but I only know how to do that if I copy over the recipe to Word. However, then it doesn't fit on a 3 x 5 card no matter what I make the page settings for Word. (Width is OK but not heigth.)

2) I thought when I changed IE's page setting BigOven should work, but again, the whole recipe shows as one page in the print preview, and the I cannot print the first side and then turn over and print the second side. This would work in Word if each BigOven 3 x 5 became one Word 3 x 5, but most become two if there are several lines on what BigOven thinks of as one 3 x 5.

3) The tool referenced in some of the topics prints 4 x 6. Can this be made to easily print 3 x 5 cards. This might be a good solution if I cannot find another.

To summarize I am trying to print recipes that fit on two 3 x 5 cards. I want to print one half on a card and flip it over and print the other half on the back. What is the best way to do this? Seems like something a lot of people would like to do.

Printing from BigOven, it sounds like you  may just need to change your page setup for the 3x5 card, print JUST page 1, flip the card, and pring JUST page 2 on the back.

I hope this helps.  Next time, you might get better BigOven help quicker from the man who knows BigOven the best on the help forum .  Steve Murch really seems driven to help people get all they can out from bigoven.

Make sure you load the 3x5 card the right way into your printer.

Change you Page Setup:
After you choose "3x5 card", click "preview and print"
Choose "setup" (looks like a gear).
In setup, choose paper size 3x5, orientation Landscape, and make minimal margins.
Click "OK".

Printing front and back, if your printer doesn't do duplex printing:
click the "Print" button (looks like a printer).
Under "Page Range" choose Pages: 1 and print page 1
Put the card back in the feed tray (other side up) and print page 2 this time.

Now, you should have pages 1 and 2 on opposite sides of your 3x5 card.

Good Luck!
