Subject: What is fresh & locally grown in your region today

What about posting what we see in our local markets by region.
I know you can search that way but could be more relevant as a discussion.
Saw fresh bunch spinach and zucchini in British Columbia

In Seattle, at the University Farmer's Market, we have great local cheeses (raw cow's milk and sheep's milk), beets, basil, poultry and various herbs.

Sorry this is in french but would'nt be great if we could post something like this for major areas?

Just noticed it is also in english but they only have 2 regions set up.  Quebec and Ontario - must be similar to northeast US.

In British Columbia we have the greenhouse peppers and cucumbers available now.  We have a lot of produce from WA...I can walk to the border... and I  consider those local

Asparagus and Strawberries!  Rhubarb, Lettuce, Broccoli, kale, collards, and spring onions, in MD and PA. With this heat, I bet the lettuce won't last much longer, and the strawberries might go another week.  Asparagus might last until the end of June.

I am from CA  the Central Valley we are known for our peaches, plums and nectarines.  Right now we are producing peaches we have many   different kinds.

In MD and PA: Beets, tomatoes, peppers, peaches, sweet corn, watermelon, chili peppers, eggplant, zucchini, pattypan squash, green beans, and limas.
