looking for an dough hook for a 5 qt narrow bowl kitchenaid with the following specs
over all length 6 3/4
arc                 3 1/4
ring at top       3         I am thinking from an old mixer probably 10-20 years old. One terrific hook but the only one I can find is at my brothers house and he won't share. I have tried everywhere. Any thoughts?

None of the ones on Ebay are the right size?

Thanks Renee.. I have looked over the ebay offerings and nope none there.
I am of a mind that kitchenaid is not setup to deal with the type of dough I'm trying to work... that is a heavy dough thats short on gluten.
I'm probably going to have to go to a Bosch or Electrolux. A shame though since the mixer is strong enough ( the older ones are) but I fear this hook is no longer being made and the Company is no help whatsoever

Yes thanks.. I tried that as well.. the problem  is no one I could talk to has a clue as to the specs of hooks and since I have no idea ( nor does my brother) as to what the model number of the hook he has( he has had 3 kitchen aid mixers over the years) the kitchen aid folks want numbers and I cannot provide one. According to them only a couple of hooks will work with the mixer I have and I have both of them having one with the machine and another I bought per their suggestion. The fact is this hook my brother has works great on heavy dough due to its longer length and arc and it is neither of the hooks the kitchen aid folks swear will work..I have added washers to the bowl lift but it just doesn't pick up heavy gluten light material
