An excellent recipe for crusted chicken. A flavorful crust and a juicy interor....you can cut it with a fork. Try serving it with Sage-Butter Sauce and Roasted Potatoes with Garlic and Rosemary.
Serve with Frank’s Famous Baking Powder Biscuits . . . PLEASE do not spoil my gravy by using those nasty grocery store biscuits in a tube . . . REAL biscuits are just too easy to make!
"This sauce came from a good friend's Italian Mother-in-law. It is easy, and by far the best homemade sauce I know of. Great for both Spaghetti and Lasagna. Pssst...the secret is the sugar!"
Delicious sauce.
I have had this marinade for years and it is on a very old piece of newspaper that I cut out and attached to my fridge.
Chicken is used instead of veal in this Italian style dish. The chicken breasts are cheese filled and prosciutto wrapped, with fresh sage in the sauce. As a side dish, Arugula is perfect with the creamy, angel hair pasta. A winner!
Sure, it's only slightly different than Chicken Marsala but it is a great change!
After seeing a national restaurant chain come out with this, it looked so good I had to prepare a homemade version. Use a BIG spatula to turn these burgers on the grill or pan, although they shouldn't break apart, because the ingredients make them firm. You'll need a big appetite to finish a whole one of these! TIP: After forming your burgers, press down the center of the burger with your fingertips to compress it a little, to within 1 to 1 1/2" of the edge of the burger. While grilling/frying, this will allow the burger to remain flat on top, instead of a bulging disc that lets the other ingredients fall off.
