This delicious salad started out life as a salsa recipe from epicurious.com and has morphed into one of our favourite salads. We always have it with Grilled Cumin Chicken.
Delicious.. The standard recipe for, "country style," baked winter squash
A great Weight Watchers Snack!
These make a fun addition to a party tray or table decoration. They're quick and simple to do and a lot of fun.
Excellent served with biscuits (or cornbread), greens (collards are my favorite), and vegetarian baked beans (or lima beans and corn cooked in butter with a little salt and pepper). In addition to being tasty right out of the oven, this makes an excellent lunch the next day (hot or cold), though you might have to hide some in advance if you want any left over! Keeps nicely in the fridge for up to a week (at least I think it will - it's never lasted that long in our house, even with only two people).
Use this refreshing sauce or chutney to serve with pappadums, pakoras, samosas or chips.
These are a fun way to decorate a table. Then they become soup.
Simple, tasty, and filling!
We are getting so many tomatoes from the garden this year that we were forced to try canning some. This batch looks like it turned out good. Fresh tomatoes also freeze well. You can just wash them and place them in gallon freezer bags. They are excellent in soups and stews. This recipe is from the Kerr Home canning and freezing book.
