Hi,
I was doing so well on WW. I was up to a 92lb loss which was end of July last year. I was 8lbs from goal weight. Then vacation hit August '08. I ate everything in site. It's so easy to gain. Between that vacation then Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Birthday and Easter I gained lots on each with tiny losses between resulting in me being 16lbs heavier than end of July '08. I refuse to let myself slide further. I've started Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zone DVD. It's tough but I can do it! I'm tracking every BLT. I will lose that 16lbs plus the last 8 and get to goal.

Hello, Ladies! Have any of you tried to make whole wheat or brown rice fresh pasta? I'd like to try this, however can't find a recipe anywhere. Just don't know if I can follow a "regular" pasta recipe and substitute ww or br flour in the recipe, or if changing flours requires other adjustments. Any ideas?
I am always looking for a good recipe. Any one have a good WW dessert recipe?
I've posted another recipe tonight and this one has a picture with it. I worked out a recipe that cuts down on some of the fat and increases the fiber to make it as Weight Watcher friendly as possible. It's called Louisiana Red Beans & Rice (Light Version) if you want to check it out. Feel free to give me any feedback.
I adapted a recipe from Gourmet magazine for jerk chicken and I have posted it to the website. It is recipe ID# 170323 simply entiltled jerk chicken. I have made it with boneless, skinless chicken breasts to cut down the fat and my alterations make it hot but the seasonings can be altered to your own personal taste. Take a look and see what you think.
Hello everyone. I am new to Big Oven and the group but I am currently following the WW flex plan. I have been on and off and the diet train for many years but here I go again. Anyway, I hope to have some good discussions and maybe share some recipes as I attempt to drop over 100 pounds.
Okay everyone i need your help. Today we where give about 20 containers of Spinach Dip and never eaten it so I'm looking for any kind of recipes with Spinach Dip in it or if you know of anything its good with or for?
A little new to this group, but I hope to use it as support. I started weight reduction Nov, 10. and have lost 30 lbs. The hard part is it keeps going up and down, but I keep up with the calorie counting and exercising, now I am looking for the Psychological support.
I've been a lurker but now I have to get serious!! Thanks for everyone's honesty! It's inspiring!
Hi Everybody, Just wanted to wish you all a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving. There will be lots and lots of temptations, but you can do this. Take tastes of what you enjoy, but mostly, enjoy the company. Friends and family are what it's all about, not the food. Anne
Hey you guys and gals, We're showing 113 members as of this morning, so where are you all hiding? C'mon out of lurkdom. This weight loss thing (and maintenance) takes a village, not just one or two people, if we're going to be successful, so c'mon out, post a hello, and tell us how we can help YOU!! As for me, after several weeks of ignoring the scale, I finally weighed in this morning, and I'm happy to say I'm now down a total of 12 pounds. Not a huge amount (since September 18) by any means, but progress none the less, so I'm a happy girl. There was a brief spell there where the iron beast (or plastic in this case) was going in the wrong direction. Our Thanksgiving here in the U.S.A. is Thursday. Even though it's my favorite holiday of them all, for this year, I'm going to treat it as if it's just another day. Do you have a strategy in place? Anne 218.5/206.5/150
Hi Guys I would like to share with you my experience. I am a female who just turned 20 and use to weigh 84/85 kg. Today I weigh 54 kg and I feel healtier than ever. I wanted to share this with you to give others the courage to loose those unwanted kilos. Good Luck
I finally got myself back to WI's a few months ago with my neighbor and I have lost 13 pounds and only a pound away from my current Goal Weight. Haven't been by the boards here in months and thought I better stick to Big Oven again and visit all of my friends here!
Yeah, I know, but the holidays ARE almost upon us. Do you have a plan in place? I know for me, Christmas and New Years will be a little difficult, because I'll be visiting my (very skinny) family, and won't be doing the cooking...... but I can still watch my portions, so that's my plan (that, and to stay away from the munchies that my grand kids are always inhaling). Once again, I'd like to remind y'all about Dotties Weight Loss Zone Not only does Dottie have some wonderful recipes posted on her site, she's got full holiday menus to help us stay OP. Even people who are not watching their weight, seem to love it. So, let's get some recipes posted here so we can get our plans in place before we're in the midst of holiday panic. And, let's always remember, it's the company, not the food that makes our holidays special. Anne
Tomorrow makes one month since I restarted my journey to a healthier weight. Progress has been slow, and some days, up and down, but I am thrilled to stay that in this month, I have lost a total of 6.5 pounds!! No, not an earthshattering amount, but better off than on. I will happily take a pound and a quarter a week. Even a pound a week will be fine with me, as I head down the road to my goal and beyond. And you know what? I really don't think I could have done even this much without having this site to come to. It reinvigorates me daily, so to those who have taken an active role in this, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Anne 218.5/212/150 < my first five pound star award
